Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our forwarding and logistics company.
- The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the logistics industry with a strong background in fulfilment.
- As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
- This is a hybrid position, alternating between the office in Hörselberg-Hainich, remote work, or working from home.
- Place of employment is Hörselberg-Hainich, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company’s sales goals and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
- Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
- Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication (German, English), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
